Alex Lyon & Son held an auction on June 4 just south of Lexington, Ky., in Richmond. The auction was a complete liquidation sale for Interstate Equipment Sales & Rentals.
Equipment on the block ranged from large construction trucks and excavators to support products such as light plants. As well as online bidders, the auction attracted bidders on site from as far away as Canada and Miami, Fla.
Bidding was competitive and the equipment brought strong prices; A pair of late model Cat D8T’s drew bids of $315,000 and a 2008 Komatsu PC 300LC with 1,600 hours went for $150,000.
