Construction Equipment Guide

Flexco’s electric belt cutter is designed to provide quick and easy cuts on rubber, PVC and fabric-plied belts.

The EBC1 is capable of cutting rubber belts up to 1 in. (2.5 cm) thick and PVC belts up to 360 P.I.W. (630 N/m). The EBC2 is capable of cutting rubber belts up to 2 in. (5 cm) thick and up to a maximum 1140 P.I.W. (2,000 N/m) on PVC belts.

The electric belt cutter is specifically designed to allow the user to cut belts easier and faster than traditional cutters, in addition to allowing for longitudinal cuts and angled cuts. It is portable and easily moved, whether cutting belt in a maintenance shed or on a catwalk.

It features a high speed, steel blade that is dual-angled for a smooth, accurate cut. This specially designed blade is housed beneath a spring-loaded blade guard to enhance worker safety. The electric belt cutter also is designed with sealed ball bearings that support the belt during cutting and allow the operator to feed the cutter into the belt with minimal effort. A permanently sealed gearbox provides long lasting, maintenance-free operation, according to the manufacturer.
