Forty live crushing demonstrations each day paid off big for MB Crusher America at the World of Concrete Show in Las Vegas recently.
“The show was an absolute smash hit,” said Casey Reed, MB’s director of sales. Despite utilizing only half the booth space it had at ConExpo the year before, Reed said the immediate sales during and after the show were 30 percent greater at World of Concrete.
“Honestly, we were shocked at the response,” he added.
While Reed believes World of Concrete is probably “the greatest venue for our product,” he also saw the huge response as an indicator of the upswing taking place in the industry generally.
“We closed several crusher sales right there at the show. We haven’t seen that kind of activity for several years.”
The crushing demos drew solid crowds throughout all four days of the show. Sales were closed on the spot to buyers from Tennessee, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, Oregon, New York, Michigan and California. Sales representatives were still working a month after the show to follow up on the hundreds of sales leads generated, according to the company.
MB Crusher America’s crusher buckets offer contractors an alternative to expensive trucking of demolition materials away from the job site. Their products are effective tools in construction and excavation jobs, as well as in special applications such as quarries, mines and environmental reclamation projects, to crush, screen and separate inert materials directly at the yard and reuse them on site or allocate them to other uses.
Reed touted a possible payback of as little as four days by eliminating waste material transportation and crushed material buy-back costs.
Miriano Ravazzolo, CEO of MB America, also was on hand at the show. He pointed out that the company makes crushers small enough to fit most skid steers, and big enough for even the largest excavators.
MB Crusher America is located in Reno, Nevada.
