Bronto Skylift Unveils World’s Tallest Truck-Mounted Aerial

Bronto Skylift’s model F-101 HLA, a truck-mounted aerial device, features a 331-ft. (101 m) working height.

Although this first unit is being produced for fire fighting purposes, an industrial version for the alternative energy, utility and construction industries will be launched in the spring 2007.

Model S 101 HLA, the industrial version, also will offer 331 ft. of working height with more than 108 ft. (33 m) maximum outreach, and a working reach below ground level of 36 ft. (11 m). Maximum safe platform capacity will be 970 lbs. (440 kg).

Depending on the chassis selected, model S 101 HLA will have a transport height of 12 ft. (3.7 m), transport length of 54 ft. (15.5 m), and a transport width of 8 ft. (2.4 m). Typical gross vehicle weight with chassis will be 136,000 lbs. (61,689 kg).
