The GS 461 STIHL Rock Boss is the first of its kind in the industrial family lineup, giving professionals a lightweight, handheld companion for deep cutting tasks. The STIHL Rock Boss concrete cutter is ideal for plunge cuts, shaping square corners and cutting concrete pipes in trenches, cinder blocks, masonry bricks, asphalt and soft stone. This concrete cutter provides the best power-to-weight ratio in the industry and a powerful engine with low exhaust emissions and a 13,500 max rpm, according to the manufacturer.

“The GS 461 STIHL Rock Boss offers the industry a gasoline-powered concrete cutter that provides exceptional cutting performance in a compact package that is easy to maneuver and transport,” said Dan Pherson, STIHL Inc. product manager. “The engine delivers up to 20 percent more fuel efficiency than a standard 2-stroke engine, saving refueling time and money during construction and renovation projects.”

The two chain-tensioner mounting holes allow the user to effectively increase the length of the guide bar to compensate for chain stretch while the side-access chain tensioner allows for easy tightening, loosening or changing of the 36 GBM STIHL diamond abrasive saw chain. The heavy-duty, 2-stage HD2 air filtration system features a washable PET filter element and a fine-mesh auxiliary filter to help protect the engine on even the dirtiest job sites.

The standard electronic easy-access water control, conveniently mounted on the unit for ease of use, allows for optimal water flow while working.
