The Mack Pinnacle Rawhide Edition from Mack Trucks Inc. takes the look of the Mack Pinnacle Axle Forward model and adds a blaze of exterior excitement, plus a new level of interior comfort.

“The Rawhide Edition combines classic styling with all the technology benefits of the Pinnacle model, and the next generation of luxury and comfort,” said Jerry Warmkessel, Mack marketing product manager for highway products.

“This is definitely a truck that will draw attention — the Rawhide Edition is a highway bulldog in all its shining glory. It will be popular with fleets for driver recruitment and retention, as well as with discerning owner operators.

“Our customers want a truck that drivers aspire to be in because of its looks, its comfort and its Mack quality and reliability,” Warmkessel continued. “Drivers specifically tell us they want a proud-to-drive look, one that shows they are a successful professional. They also want a truck that pampers them with a luxurious interior. And the Rawhide Edition delivers on both counts.”

The truck is available in three cab configurations: 60- and 70-in. (152 and 178 cm) midrise sleepers, plus daycab. The truck’s axle-forward position maximizes payload, while also giving it a bold stance.

Dominant exterior features include a big “Texas-style” chrome bumper, stainless steel cab and sleeper skirts, forward-mounted dual 7-in. bullhorn exhaust stacks, a 13-in. stainless steel exterior sun visor, four chrome air horns, stainless steel hood latches, as well as stylized chrome heated and lighted mirrors — each mirror with a raised bulldog emblem.

The interior of the Rawhide Edition features Ultraleather and two-tone embroidered seats, complemented by a sleek dash housing Mack’s Co-Pilot driver display.

Interior color choices are: slate gray; vintage oxblood; deep copper; and classic buckskin. The dash panel is brushed nickel, and the leather-grip steering wheel includes chromed spokes.

Each seat has the Rawhide emblem embroidered on its headrest. The Rawhide emblem is repeated in the door sill, door panel trim and on the back wall of the sleeper. The two-toned pattern in the seats is continued in the sleeper, this time in button tuck. The cabinets have accent strips to match the dash. And the cab headliner has four-point lighting, serving both the driver and passenger.
