Underground Tools Inc. (UTI) manufactures heavy-duty trenching chains for all makes and models of trenchers, including Ditch Witch, Vermeer, Tesmec, Trencor and Trench-Tech, among others. UTI specializes in large pitch K-Style rock chains and custom base plates for large and maxi-class trenchers. Trencher chain from UTI is manufactured with proprietary alloy steel and innovative design features that provide longer wear life in the field than standard trencher chain, according to the manufacturer.

Cutting segments (base plates) are produced from abrasion and shock resistant steel and are available for cup cutter chain assemblies or rotary carbide rock and frost segments for the most severe trenching applications. Custom lacing configurations (patterns) also are available, along with custom hardfacing, wear segments and spoil cleanouts for added strength.
