Thomas Equipment’s new T-245 HDK skid steer loader can handle many different extreme-duty jobs by combining big-machine strength and power.

An optional high-flow hydraulic package is also available to power attachments such as large cold planers, rock saws and trenchers.

“Our T-245 HDK skid steer is available with a high-output 73.5 hydraulic horsepower high-flow hydraulic option that is tops in its class,” said Peter Mabee, Thomas Equipment’s product and marketing manager.

This package provides an output of 159 liters per minute (42 gpm) at 207 bar (3,000 psi), enough to power cold planers with up to 102-centimeter (40 in.)-plus cutting widths.

The T-245 HDK offers big-machine performance for digging, lifting, loading and pushing. It has a 1,089-kg. (2,400 lb.) lifting capacity and a 64.7-kilowatt (87 hp) Kubota turbocharged diesel engine. Two 76-millimeter (3 in.) bucket cylinders are designed to provide high front-end strength and a breakout force of more than 3,162 kilograms (6,970 lbs.). In addition, the loader’s heavy-duty boom arms are designed and built to withstand the stress of high-impact shock loading, day after day.

Despite al1 the power, the T-245 HDK is quiet for operators, with sound insulation that keeps noise at less than 85 dBa inside the cab. In addition, with its wider footprint, the 1,137-millimeter (44.8 in.) wheelbase provides smooth, stable operating characteristics regardless of terrain.

For safety, the hydraulic controls remain locked until the operator is in the seat with seat belt fastened and the seat bar lowered. When the operator exits the cab, the steering controls lock in neutral and the parking brake automatically engages.

Universal “quick-tach” attachment mounting makes it easy to utilize a wide variety of Thomas or approved allied attachments as needed.

For durable, reliable performance, the T-245 HDK features a performance-matched heavy-duty hydrostatic drive and a tubular steel main frame that carries a five-year warranty. The skid steer offers a choice of total hand or a combination of hand and foot controls.

Other specifications include: travel speed, 10 kilometers per hour (6.2 mph); operating weight, 3,629 kilograms (8,000 lbs.); height to hinge pin, 3,145 millimeters (123.8 ins.); and a high-output 1,460 cold-cranking ampere starting circuit.

The T-245 HDK is covered by Thomas Equipment’s no-cost standard warranty: 12 months on the total machine, three years on the engine and five years on the main frame. For more information, call 800/561-5623.
