Toby Mack, president and CEO of Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) issued the following statement in response to the Senate’s passage of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) (S. 601), approved by a vote of 83-14.

"AED commends Senate leadership and Sens. Boxer and Vitter on the bipartisan cooperation demonstrated in approving the chamber’s WRDA bill. WRDA invests money in critical infrastructure projects that will create jobs, spur economic growth, and enhance our nation’s economic competitiveness. We look forward to working with leaders in the House to get a WRDA bill to the president’s desk as soon as possible. The Senate’s bipartisan cooperation should be used as a model to complete comprehensive tax reform and a new highway bill later this Congress."
