Industry representatives from around the United States and around the world gathered at AED’s 90th Annual Meeting & Condex, which was held Jan 15 to 17 at the San Diego Convention Center.

Highlights of the event included the installation of the newly elected officers for 2009. Past chairman Paul Campbell, president of Wheeler Machinery, Salt Lake City, passed the reins to G. Bennet Closner, president and CEO of Closner Equipment Company Inc., Schertz, Tex. Closner has been involved with AED’s board of directors for the past four years, most recently serving as vice chairman of the board.

Keynote and seminar speakers, an expanded lineup for AED University Managers Conference and the addition of an entire infrastructure panel flown in from Washington D.C., to address this critially important issue, brought valuable educational opportunites to attendees. And of course, the showroom floor was full of vendors showing off the latest offerings from their companies.
