AEM Elects Geraghty, MacDonald as Co-Chairmen

Gerard Geraghty, president-Specialty Equipment of IR Company, Annandale, NJ, and Gary MacDonald, executive vice president of MacDon Industries, Winnipeg, MB, have been elected co-chairmen of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

New AEM officers for 2002 also elected are: First Vice Chairman David Woods, chief executive officer of Charles Machine Works in Perry, OK; Second Vice Chairman Ronald DeFeo, chairman and chief executive officer of Terex Corp. in Westport, CT; Treasurer Emil Kucera, president and chief executive officer of Minnpar Inc., Minneapolis, MN; and Co-Secretaries Emmett Barker and Dennis Slater, AEM’s full-time co-presidents.

AEM is the consolidation of the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association (CIMA) and Equipment Manufacturers Institute (EMI) effective Jan. 1, 2002. The consolidation agreement calls for co-chairmen and co-presidents during the 2002 transition year of the new association.
