For the fourth survey in a row, Fortune magazine has ranked the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) as one of the nation’s most effective and powerful associations engaged in lobbying activities in Washington, D.C. AGC now ranks 47 out of 87 organizations listed in the survey.

"The Fortune survey demonstrates AGC’s consistency as being an influential and effective voice for the construction industry," said Stephen Sandherr, AGC’s CEO. "To place in the top 50 of the more than 3,000 organizations that lobby Congress, or that have special interests in Washington, shows our diligence and dedication in educating Congress and the administration about issues that affect the construction industry."

The survey will officially be published in the May 28, 2001, issue of the magazine.
