AGC of Minnesota is the first place winner of the AGC of America National Safety Award (NASA) competition for chapters in its size category.

This award is based on a weighted average of participation and overall incidence rate of chapter members.

AGC of Minnesota has received second and third place awards in the past, and it is a great achievement to receive the top award, according to the company.

“Congratulations to our board of directors, safety and health committee, our construction health and safety excellence [CHASE] work group and participants, our partners in labor, and to all of our members who have earned this award through an exemplary commitment to safety and health,” said Dave Semerad, chief executive officer.

“This award will be proudly displayed in our chapter office.”

AGC’s strategic plan states: “Leadership….to advance AGC’s role in the Minnesota construction industry’s safety and loss prevention initiatives through education and related programs that invest in the safety and well-being of our workforce” and to “continue efforts to be branded as the association whose members possess an exemplary commitment to employee safety and health.”
