Garden State Engine & Equipment (GSE&E) has delivered a Merlo R40.30 MCSS rotating telescopic forklift to Ashnu International of Queens, N.Y.

“Our choice was easy because not only does the Merlo have the ability to reach 96 feet high delivering material to the scaffolding throughout the entire project, it also rotates within the parameters of the barricades, allowing us not to tie up traffic which saves us enormous amounts of man hours,” said Owain Rees, project manager of Ashnu.

“The Merlo is a vital part of this operation. Working with a telescopic forklift in a neighborhood at an NYC school poses plenty of challenges and concerns. With the Merlo sitting stationary, it allows us to eliminate a major concern of machine traffic and accomplish our daily goals quickly and safely. Having the rotating cab with 96 feet lift height enables us to reach a 200 foot span; all while stationary in the middle of the building.”

Project Manager Yudi Sukul said “Having the quick attach for changing the tools with a push of a button from cab proves to be not only smart but a time saver as well. The operator can switch from the bucket to the forks or to the jib easily and within seconds. We can dispose of debris on one side of the building and deliver materials to the other side without moving the machine.”

Ashnu International is a mult-million dollar construction management and general contracting company. The company maintains a reputation in both the public and private sectors, and consistently delivers on schedule and within budget. Each project is managed by a strict governance model to ensure efficiency, safety and quality.

Michael Buckley, project executive of Ashnu said, “My experience with GSE&E sales and service department has been outstanding and professional thus far. From the initial contact with Vince DeRienzo to the rental start date, to the purchase and delivery of the contract; Vince and the team at GSE&E has proved to us they are a professional material handling machinery company. They understand that selling a machine is only the first step in building a relationship. They know that unless it is supported by a competent service and rental department, the relationship could not be sustained. GSE&E service department’s personnel is not only extremely qualified but also understand the value of keeping their customer’s machine up and running.”

Backed up with 35 years of sales and service, GSE&E has made a commitment to provide the best service possible.

“We believe that in this fast paced market we need to react faster than our competition. This alone sets us apart from the rest. We also represent the top of the line material handling machinery available; along with the best parts and customer service we can possibly provide,” said Vince DeRienzo, regional sales manager of GSE&E.
