MMD Equipment, the parent company for Yanmar Excavators, has announced that Asphalt Care Equipment & Supplies, of Bensalem, PA, will be a dealer for Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Yanmar Excavators has eight models on the market ranging from 2,340 to 17,310 lbs. (1,061 to 7,852 kg).

The B-8 is the lightest model and comes with a 9.1-hp (6.8 kW) engine, which gives the machine the ability to dig to a depth of 4 ft. 7 in. to 4 ft. 11 in. (1.4 to 1.5 m). The standard bucket is 14 in. (35 cm).

The largest excavator in the model line is the VIO 75. It comes with a standard 30-in. (76 cm) bucket.

Standard features on the Yanmar line include true zero-tail swing, two-speed travel, dual-control selector switch, ROPS/FOPS structures, suspension seat, auxiliary hydraulics and rubber tracks.

Dave Fackler, president of Asphalt Care, believes the Yanmar line will complement his product line of asphalt equipment and supplies. “We’re seeing more of these small excavators on paving jobs because of their versatility.”

Asphalt Care Equipment & Supplies is a full-service distributor for Ingersoll-Rand, Blaw-Knox, Marathon, Road Maintenance, Stow Manufacturing, Seal Masters Industries and Interstate Trailers.

Headquarters are located in Bensalem, PA, with branches in Doylestown and Norristown, PA.
