The Atlas Copco Dynapac range of large, articulated tandem asphalt rollers provide optimal operator comfort and visibility and minimize maintenance with an easily accessible engine. The range includes several models, from the CC2200 to the CC6200, and can be equipped with Atlas Copco’s new intelligent compaction system to provide real-time stiffness readings for superior asphalt compaction.

Atlas Copco designed all of its CC rollers, including the CC2200 and CC6200, with service points that are easy to access. This includes positioning the engine on the rear module and incorporating large, easy to-open engine hoods. Servicing information displays directly on the driver’s LCD and also indicates what servicing needs to be completed. All rollers feature a lubrication-free steering hitch and steering cylinder.

The CC rollers also feature corrosion-free water tanks and sprinkler tubes, in combination with easily accessible filters for enhanced reliability and easy maintenance. Contractors can replace hydraulic hoses in individual segments, saving hassle and costs associated with replacing full lengths of the hoses.

The CC rollers are built with parts similar to other Atlas Copco equipment. This means less inventory for dealers and parts that are readily available for fast turnaround times and less downtime.

The CC large range rollers also enhance productivity by maximizing operator visibility and comfort. They feature sideways-sliding seats and steering modules that also rotate with the operator, which helps improve visibility for optimal control and compaction. And since the engines are located at the back of the rollers there is less heat and noise affecting the operator.

The large range rollers feature Tier IV Interim engines and are available with Atlas Copco’s optional ECO Mode system. ECO Mode is an rpm-management system that delivers to the roller only the amount of power that is necessary to operate at any given time. This system reduces fuel consumption by as much as 20 percent, according to the manufacturer.

Contractors can equip the asphalt rollers with the new version of Atlas Copco’s intelligent compaction system that provides real time temperature readings. This delivers immediate relative stiffness results on asphalt, which helps minimize the number of passes.
