Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana announced winners of the association's 2019 BCA Service Awards sponsored by Katz, Sapper & Miller. BCA Summit and Gold Medal Awards recognize individuals who have exhibited exemplary performance and strong ethics in their business dealings. These individuals made significant contributions to the general advancement of the construction industry and have been involved in local philanthropic organizations.

The Summit Award was presented to Dan DeVries, who worked 45 years at Rosema Corporation before his retirement in January 2019. DeVries has mentored generations of construction professionals over the years. A $500 donation was made in his honor to Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana.

The Gold Medal Award was presented to Andy Brooks, president of Brooks Construction Company. Brooks has been engaged in securing support for the state highway construction industry and advancements in safety and quality. A $500 donation was presented to Fort Wayne Children's Zoo on his behalf.

The Centennial Award honors an emerging leader under age 40 that is active in BCA and shows commitment to leadership in their company; one that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for citizens of northeast Indiana through involvement in humanitarian groups.

The Centennial Award was presented to Jake Fetters, president of Mosaic Building Solutions. Fetters is a leader on many local boards including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lutheran Life Villages and Our Hope Lutheran Church. He encourages all Mosaic employees to step up and be a part of their local communities, fostering an environment of community activeness.
