Berry Companies Inc. acquired the assets of Sellers Equipment effective Sept. 28.

The most visible aspect of the acquisition will the addition of the Hyster line of forklifts and material handling equipment.

“Hyster is just what we've been looking for in our customer product offering within our Kansas geographic footprint,” said Joe Wilson, president of Berry Material Handling. “Sales and service of the Hyster brand expands the 'heavy lift' category of machines, making it the perfect complement to our existing Yale line.”

In addition to sales and service of Hyster, Berry's acquisition expands the company's product support role in other key lines. As part of the agreement, Berry will offer parts and service for Doosan heavy equipment and Tiger mowers through its White Star Machinery division.

Berry Tractor & Equipment will support JCB and Global Sweepers municipal street cleaning machines.
