Berry Companies Inc. has completed the purchase of the Bobcat Operations of Conley Lott Nichols of Texas, Inc.
The transaction expands Berry Companies geographical footprint of its five-state Bobcat equipment distribution network by providing a significant presence in the north Texas market.
The Bobcat operations of Conley Lott Nichols had been serving this market as a leader since 1989, and Berry Companies Inc. is pleased to gain a loyal and large customer base within a major market.
Commenting on the addition of the Bobcat operations of Conley Lott Nichols, Berry Companies’ President, Walter Berry said, “This announcement complements Berry Companies long-term growth plans and continues to broaden the company’s distribution network by expanding into the important markets surrounding the north Texas area. This further allows us to pool our five state distribution network in a manner to serve our customers in the best way possible.”
Berry Companies, Inc. based in Wichita, Kan., has been in the construction equipment distribution industry since 1957. In addition to the new purchase, Berry Companies owns and operates four other Bobcat Dealerships with 17 locations in five states: White Star Machinery (based in Wichita, Kan.); Bobcat of the Rockies (based in Golden, Colo.); KC Bobcat (based in Blue Springs, Mo); and Bobcat of Houston (based in Jersey Village, Texas).
Berry Companies also owns and operates: Berry Tractor & Equipment with four locations (based in Wichita, Kan.) which represents Komatsu, Bomag, and Gomaco in Kansas and southwestern Missouri; Berry Material Handling with three locations (based in Wichita, Kan.) which represents Yale lift trucks in Kansas; and Superior Broom (based in Wichita, Kan.) which manufactures self-propelled brooms primarily for the asphalt paving market.
