More than 1,700 equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including these John Deere backhoes.

More than 2,800 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros.' multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Chicago, Ill., on Dec. 9.

With bidders from 50 countries, approximately 53 percent of the equipment in the auction was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Thailand, Guatemala and the United Kingdom. Online bidders purchased approximately 59 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

More than 1,700 equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including 40 excavators, 30 compactors, 35 boom and scissor lifts, 25 forklifts, 60 truck tractors, 25 dump trucks, 90 trailers and more.
