Binder Machinery Company held a 50th anniversary open house at its South Plainfield, N.J., headquarters Oct. 4.

A great turnout in summer-like weather helped the company celebrate its milestone. Family members Bob Binder, chairman of the board; Brendan Binder, president and COO; Carlin Binder, utility sales; Ashlee Binder, director of marketing; and Alan Binder, vice president of South Jersey operations, and their entire team of employees were gracious hosts, meeting with and thanking friends and customers for their support over the years.

A giant tent erected in the midst of myriad pieces of Komatsu, Wirtgen America, Metso, Sennebogen and more all combined to create a ConExpo like atmosphere.

Later in the evening after guests enjoyed dinner, Brendan Binder, with the help of his daughter, Lily, drew the winners of valuable raffle prizes, which included Komatsu construction models; a Binder-accompanied golf-for-three at Baltusrol Golf Club, site of the 2005 PGA championship; two nights at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., as well as dinner for two at the Palm Steakhouse. The grand prize winners of a 46-in. AQUOS flat-screen LCD television were Linda and George Swanson of D’Annunzio & Sons, Clark, N.J.

Shortly after the winners were announced, Bob Binder took the stage and graciously thanked guests and employees for helping make his company the success that it is.
