Blanchard Machinery Co. of Columbia, SC, opened a new store recently in Columbia.

Blanchard Used Parts is a 23,000-sq.-ft. facility with more than 14,000 line items, including rebuilt transmissions, pumps and engines for all types of Caterpillar machinery, according to Mark Walker, used parts manager.

The facility includes a “narrow-aisle” storage facility, which allows the company more room for parts, and space for its office operation.

The new used parts facility is one of eight Blanchard locations statewide. Blanchard operates full-service facilities in Columbia, Florence, Summerville, Rock Hill and Greenville. Blanchard Rental Services has a facility in Columbia and a newly-opened operation in Myrtle Beach.

The store has nine employees and can find requested parts via several computerized parts networks, Walker said, and will provide shipping on all major truck lines.
