Cat Auction Services conducted its first Indiana auction and was hosted by Indiana Caterpillar dealer, MacAllister Machinery on March 27.

Much of the equipment on the block was from longtime MacAllister Machinery customer, Crider & Crider, in the process of a fleet realignment. The auction was conducted on a sales site just south of downtown Indianapolis. While the equipment was available for onsite inspection, a tent and video screens were set up for theater style bidding.

The auction drew an enthusiastic crowd of bidders, primarily from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Michigan, as well as strong online bidding. Representatives from several of MacAllister Machinery’s parts and services divisions as well as Sitech of Indiana representatives were on hand with table top displays at a separate tent close to the auction activities.
