James Cline Jr. and Van Burroughs celebrated the opening of their new Central Ohio Takeuchi. The grand opening festivities featured food, fun and lots of Takeuchi equipment on Sept. 13 and 14.
Each of the men brings unique knowledge and skills to the team but they both share great enthusiasm for their new business start-up. Cline’s background is in real estate & finance while Burroughs has been a highly satisfied Takeuchi customer with his construction business. As a Takeuchi owner, Burroughs was impressed by the equipment’s utility and dependability and therefore saw a need for a more enthusiastic promotion of the product in the Columbus area.
Central Ohio Takeuchi owns the building and property at its new location, which includes a 6,000 sq. ft. service center along with 3,000 sq. ft. of sales office space. The company is a full parts stocking Takeuchi dealer with a focus on sales, service, parts and rentals. Along with its Takeuchi line, the company also offers Branson Tractors and Paladin Light Construction Attachments. Its market area for new equipment sales will cover a seven county area with Franklin County as its core. Having received its first machines on June 6, the company is up and running and fully staffed with two owners, three sales representatives, a service technician, a parts counterman and a secretary.
