Chicago Pneumatic Power Technique (CP) has added the CPS 1800 JD8 T4F to its portable compressor lineup. The twin single-stage, oil-injected, rotary screw type compressor is the largest in the CP lineup and can work in a wide range of applications.

Powered by a liquid-cooled, six-cylinder turbocharged diesel John Deere 525 hp engine, the unit has an engine starting capacity at 14F without the addition of cold start options.

A 240-gal. fuel tank enables operation for more than eight hours at full load and comes standard with a low fuel shutdown at 5 percent empty. Additionally, FuelXpert reduces fuel consumption up to 10 percent at 75 percent load, increasing project profitability.

Operating in a wide range of applications, the CP XC4003 controller creates versatility and flexibility on the job site. The controller allows the machine to match airflow with desired operating pressure to maximize output and keeps the engine as fuel efficient as possible.

"This is a quality compressor built with the same characteristics as the complete CP range, offering reliability, easy maintenance, user-friendly features and economical operation, ensuring best-in-class cost of ownership," said Brent Sexton, product manager, portable compressors at CP. "CP remains a world leader in designing the most efficient and reliable compressors on the market and the CPS 1800 is mirrored in that."

Other features include a spillage-free containment frame protecting the environment and a heavy duty tandem dual axle trailer with 17.5-in. tires balancing the compressor for safer towing and includes a high ground clearance for rough site and road conditions.

The unit's cooling system consists of an integrated side-by-side aluminium oil cooler with axial fan for optimum cooling. Designed for higher maximum working pressure, the air and oil separator is equipped with a high pressure sealed and certified safety valve and automatic blow-down valve. Maintenance is simple with wide service doors to all components from both sides of the machine.

Portable, powerful and tough, the CPS 1800 has a galvannealed steel canopy with powder coat finish providing excellent corrosion protection. The canopy also is sound attenuated.
