Construction Equipment Guide

Roxanne Smith, of Cleveland Brothers, has achieved the 6 Sigma Black Belt. After four weeks of training, Smith has successfully achieved the next level of 6 Sigma. The only level higher is Master Black Belt.

Prior to receiving her Black Belt, Smith was a warranty writer and has been part of the Cleveland Brothers team for four years.

6 Sigma uses a process of statistics, methods and a formulation of strategies to make data-driven decisions to streamline Cleveland Brothers business practices. Examples include transportation, service, marketing and sales. The idea is to take these data-driven decisions and apply them in a top-down approach.

Through her current transportation project, Smith and a team of employees are being coached by a Master Black Belt of 6 Sigma. 6 Sigma could not be effective without a team effort to collect and analyze the data, according to Smith. She added that executive support is the key to bringing the information together and transforming strategies into results.
