For the second time in three years, Gulf-Coast sales/rental specialist CLM Equipment has been named Genesis Attachments’ Dealer of the Year.
While CLM topped all dealers in overall sales/rentals, Genesis also cited the company’s commitment to providing the highest level of customer service and support as key to regaining the title.
“CLM has proven time and again that it shares our philosophy of going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction,” said Johnnie Breaux, Genesis’ South Central regional manager. “That effort is reflected in one of the company’s highest — and steadiest — levels of sales and rental business. We are fortunate to have CLM representing the Genesis name in this area.”
Headquartered out of Lafayette, La., CLM Equipment has branches in Lake Charles, La., and Baytown, Texas. According to Blake Degueyter, CLM’s vice president of sales and rentals, the company has seen its share of ups and downs in its 42 year history. Fortunately for them, he said, they are currently experiencing a very nice extended “up” period.
“We are fortunate in that our region is dotted with huge oil and petrochemical plants, all of which currently seem to be in the process of demolition to make way for expansion. Genesis shears are the best there is at processing the pipe and structural steel that makes up 99 percent of those plants. We have more than a dozen shear/excavator packages in our rental fleet and they are constantly out on projects. The Genesis line is one of the most reliable and definitely the most profitable line we represent. We are honored to have been selected again as their Dealer of the Year.”
A plaque honoring CLM was presented at Genesis’ corporate offices in Superior, Wisc. The ceremony was attended by CLM’s Floyd Degueyter, founder and owner; Blake Degueyter, vice president of sales and rentals; Steve Smith, V.P. of operations/general manager; principals from Genesis Attachments and Johnnie Breaux, Genesis’ South Central regional manager.
