Coon Named Stephenson Vice President

Stephenson Equipment Inc., a full-service dealer specializing in cranes, asphalt related equipment and municipal equipment, recently appointed Lon Coon as vice president of the company, announced President James A. Penman.

Coon is in charge of the New York operations of Stephenson Equipment which is currently expanding by opening an additional branch in Buffalo, NY, which was officially opened March 1.

In addition to making the New York operations of Stephenson Equipment successful, Coon has made an important contribution to the overall company management and, as a member of the executive committee, has been a significant part of the strategic planning process, Penman said.

Coon spent 10 years in the residential construction field, and has been working in the construction equipment field for the past 23 years, including a 22 year employment at Rupp Rental & Sales Corporation, where he served as equipment salesman and branch manager.

The New York offices of Stephenson Equipment primarily focus on sales, rental, OEM and custom parts and service specializing in asphalt equipment and cranes. The company also performs inspections on cranes to certify that they meet OSHA regulations. In addition to its Syracuse branch office, which opened in 1991, Stephenson Equipment has a home office located in Harrisburg, PA and branch offices in Bridgeville, PA and Selinsgrove, PA.
