Chris Cooper was named general manager of RDO Equipment’s north Texas operations on April 19, 2004. He will oversee sales, parts and service for the three operations in Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco, TX.

“I am really optimistic about the opportunities we have here,” said Cooper. “I think there is some real progress that can be made with guys that maybe haven’t looked at us in the past.”

Cooper started his equipment career directing operations and sales service as division manager of Vehicare Michigan in Warren, MI, in 1994. Later, Cooper moved up through the ranks from customer support agreements manager to corporate rental manager to product support manager of Michigan CAT, a leading construction equipment dealer with 700 employees.

Ronald D. Offutt opened the first RDO Equipment store in Casselton, ND, in 1968, and the company has since expanded to seven operating divisions – including agricultural, construction, material handling and rental equipment – in 53 locations in Arizona, California, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Texas.
