Construction Equipment Guide

Quiet and easy to use, the Chicago Pneumatic CPS 185-DD portable air compressor delivers 190 FM and easily adjustable working pressures ranging from 58 to 123 psi.

Powered by an oil-cooled 48 hp (35 kW) Tier IV Interim Deutz diesel engine with direct fuel injection and a 21-gal. (79 L) fuel tank, the rotary screw compressor has a galvanneal steel, powder-coat enclosure, removable side panels and a wide-opening one-piece canopy that allows for easy maintenance.

Other features of the CPS 185-DD, which was designed for 500-hour service intervals, include torsion bar suspension, heavy-duty 13-in. (33 cm) tires and a centralized control panel that provides protective shutdown for high engine temperatures, low oil pressure and high compressor temperature.

With parts and services readily available at Chicago Pneumatic distributors across North America, the CPS 185-DD also includes a trailer, a bumper, lights and a glow plug that helps ignite fuel at low temperatures.
