The Chicago Pneumatic line of nine forward and reversible asphalt plates was built to handle the most demanding compaction jobs safely and efficiently.
Speed and endurance are hallmarks of the machines, which range in operating weight from 344 lbs. (156 kg) to 1,111 lbs. (504 kg), and boast centrifugal forces ranging from 6,294 lbf (28 kN) to 13,489 lbf (60 kN).
With a smooth hydraulic steering system and vibration-dampened handles, the well-balanced machines allow for smooth and consistent operation, maximum operator comfort and strong maneuvering capabilities, according to the manufacturer.
Available with gas-powered Honda engines and diesel-driven Hatz and Lombardini engines, the wear-and-tear resistant plates have heavy-duty frames and engine covers that protect vital components, driving down maintenance costs.
The bottom plates are constructed from wear-resistant Hardox 400 steel with a hardness of 400 HBW, leading to longer service life. An electric start on the MV480, the heaviest model, boosts efficiency on job sites.
