Construction Equipment Guide

The FFC Preparator manufactured by Paladin is designed and built to separate rocks and other debris from the soil while leveling and smoothing to prepare the soil for seeding or sod. Powered by the skid steer’s hydraulics, the FFC Preparator features a rotating bi-directional drum that can till up to 2.5 in. (6 cm) deep. Its perforated bucket allows dirt to sift through while retaining up to 12.5 cu. ft. (.3 cu m) of the rock and debris depending on the model size. Its unique design and adjustable skid shoes allow the FFC Preparator to follow the ground contour while collecting rocks and debris, tilling soil, uprooting foliage, scarifying, raking and collecting foliage, eliminating the need for extra machines and/or attachments to perform some of these duties.

The FFC Preparator is available in three models with struck bucket capacities ranging from 8.9 to 12.5 cu. ft. (.2 to .3 cu m). It attaches to skid steers with a 10- to 25-gpm (37.8 to 94.6 Lpm) hydraulic flow rate and less than a 9,000-lb. (4,082 kg) lift capacity.
