Crews demolished the east side of Arizona State's Sun Devil Stadium the week of Dec. 4 as they began the last phase of a $300 million renovation project.

After the demo work is complete, crews will get to work rebuilding the area before finishing the stadium's interior sometime in 2019, AZCentral reported. The work that is currently in progress is scheduled to be complete before Sept. 1, 2018, just in time for the season kickoff.

The Arizona State Athletics department is still fundraising to cover the final $40 million needed for the project.
