Construction Equipment Guide

Ditch Witch of Roanoke (DWR) is now carrying the Kubota line of excavators, skid steers, backhoe loaders and wheel loaders. The Kubota equipment will be available in 18 counties in Virginia.

“We began our relationship with Kubota in May of 2000,” Michael Duncan, DWR vice president said. “We decided to market Kubota because they build a quality product that fits well with the other manufacturers we represent.”

Ditch Witch of Roanoke opened under the ownership of Russ Duncan in October 1974. Today the ownership continues with Russ acting as company president and his sons, Patrick, secretary, treasurer and manager of the St. Albans, W.Va., location, and Michael.

The Salem, Va., location boasts a 40,000 sq. ft. parts and service facility. It houses eight service bays, a parts department, a covered drive thru for loading and unloading in inclement weather, and a showroom displaying accessories and handheld tools as well as small equipment.

In addition to Michael, Patrick and Russ Duncan, the staff of DWR includes Todd Smith, territory manager; and Michael Turpin, parts and service manager.
