Powered by a 74.5-hp (62 kW) Deutz Tier IV diesel engine, the Ditch Witch RT80 ride-on trencher enables operators to perform big jobs in small places. The compact design and extensive axle capacity give the machine a best-in-class static load rating of 39,000 lbs. (17,690 kg) to meet the demands of any heavy-duty trenching job. Standard rear steering gives the machine a tight turning radius for improved maneuverability on small sites, according to the manufacturer.
For improved versatility, a three-speed, shift-on-the-fly ground drive control provides more options as jobsite conditions and requirements change. Further advancing versatility and productivity, the RT80 features a standard cruise control system for automatic adjustment to ground speed to changing soil condition. The system also senses engine loads and automatically adjusts ground drive speed to maintain maximum production.
The RT80 is equipped with a new color LCD engine display for direct insight into all engine diagnostics and performance information. Advancing maintenance and machine upkeep, removable side panels provide easy access to engine compartments and maintenance points. Dozens of attachments are available for the machine, including centerline trencher, sliding trencher, vibratory plow, earth saw, combination trencher/plow, microtrencher, backhoe and reel carrier.
