The DL250TC-5 features three selectable work modes — economy, standard and power — to better balance fuel consumption and machine power to the working conditions.

The Doosan DL250TC-3 (tool carrier) wheel loader provides productivity and comfort for moving materials in infrastructure projects, as well as building, site development and livestock production applications. Its parallel lift-arm design helps keep a pallet fork attachment and materials level at all times, which is ideal for moving materials on a job site or a construction yard.
The 3.4-cu.-yd. (2.6 cu m) DL250TC-3 is a 172-net-hp interim Tier IV (iT4)-compliant wheel loader. It is designed with a breakout force of 25,980 lbs. and a dump height of 9 ft. (2.7 m). The wheel loader's standard auto-idle feature provides additional noise reduction and fuel savings by reducing the working idle to a standby idle setting when the machine is inactive for a short time.
Designed with improved lifting performance, the DL250TC-3 offers operators the ability to set upper and lower limits for both the lift arm and bucket stop positions from inside the cab. Better lifting capabilities improve cycle times in digging and loading applications, while providing better control of the lift arm and bucket positions. An optional fourth spool control valve provides operators the capability to utilize an attachment that requires an additional hydraulic function, e.g., some snowblowers and snow blades.
As an alternative to the standard limited-slip differential, the DL250TC-3 offers an optional hydraulic locking front differential. Based on ground conditions, the operator can choose to lock the differential manually with a floor-mounted foot switch, or allow the machine to automatically engage the system. This provides increased driving power when one wheel spins or loses traction and improves machine performance when navigating tough terrain.
The DL250TC-5 features three selectable work modes — economy, standard and power — to better balance fuel consumption and machine power to the working conditions.
This Doosan wheel loader is equipped with a six-cylinder diesel engine that has been optimized for use with a cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR) system, a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a diesel particulate filter (DPF). Engines with this configuration are optimized to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOX), and after-treatment is needed to reduce particulate matter to comply with iT4 emission regulations.
The Doosan DL06 diesel engine features a high-pressure common-rail (HPCR) design with direct fuel injection, electronic control and four valves per cylinder. The HPCR system increases the efficiency of fuel delivery via increased pressure. The increased pressure allows the injector to inject a finer mist into the engine, which results in a more efficient combustion that in turn produces more torque and improved fuel economy, less noise, lower operating costs and cleaner exhaust.
The DL250TC-3 has a tough, rigid frame. Each frame section is designed to maximize the life of the machine. Thick steel plates, cross members and gussets join to form a strong, durable articulation joint that stands up to years of difficult work. Lift-arm pins are protected with bushings and dust covers to increase pin life and reduce maintenance. Tilt cylinder hydraulic hoses have been rerouted for improved hose reliability, better hose movement and improved visibility to the attachment.
To keep the wheel loader running at optimal performance in dirty and dusty conditions, the DL250TC-3 incorporates a standard automatic-reversing cooling fan. The operator can manually reverse the fan via a switch, or set it to automatically reverse on a preset time frame. Each time the fan reverses, it will run in reverse for a few minutes to clean the cooling system. This results in longer working hours and shorter maintenance time to clean the cooling system.
Inside the DL250TC-3 wheel loader, operators can work in quiet as noise levels in the cabin stay below a comfortable 72 decibels, due to the variable-speed cooling fan, double-walled muffler and soundproof materials throughout the engine compartment. Additionally, the wheel loader cabin is tightly sealed and pressurized to help keep operators clean and comfortable during their workday.
The wheel loader's interior cabin features a multi-function display panel. It allows the operator to view comprehensive machine system information. The centralized monitor displays critical machine information such as engine rpm, engine coolant temperature, fuel level, machine warnings, time and the transmission selected gear.
For good all-around visibility of operations, low front-side glass is standard for the DL250TC-3. Narrow corner pillars and small window joints increase visibility to the front of the wheel loader. Operators can get in and out of the wheel loader with ease because of grab handles, offset steps and slip-resistant surfaces. A 180-degree swinging door can lock in the open position to provide a wide opening to get in and out of the machine, and makes cleaning the inside of the cab much easier.
To maximize the DL250TC-3 and its performance, operators may choose from five approved attachments:
Doosan wheel loaders come with a standard three-year subscription to Doosan Telematics, which allows equipment owners and fleet managers to remotely monitor machine location, hours, fuel usage, engine idle versus work time and error codes, as well as engine and hydraulic temperatures. Machines can be monitored via an online Doosan Telematics account. In addition, Doosan dealers can provide improved customer support using the system by responding to machine warning messages and alerts, troubleshooting machine issues, and then sending a field service vehicle to help with repairs and the proper parts.
