Dressta Co. LTD recently held a press day event inviting media representatives from around the world to its manufacturing facilities in Stalowa Wola, Poland. Media representatives had an opportunity to view the manufacturing facilities where DRESSTA dozers, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders and pipe layers are assembled. They concluded the tour with demonstrations of various pieces construction equipment manufactured at the facility.

The Stalowa Wola production plant began operations in 1937 as a source for military equipment, but through a series of licensing agreements, the plant became the one of the primary manufacturers for construction equipment in Central Europe.

In early 2012, Dressta Co. LTD was purchased by Guangzi LiuGong Machinery Co. LTD. In the North American market, LiuGong North America is responsible for the marketing of DRESSTA branded construction equipment manufactured at the plant in Stalowa Wola, Poland.

“The acquisition and integration of Dressta North America by LiuGong North America was completed this past February. We now leverage the engineering and technical advantages of Dressta with the manufacturing expertise and production capabilities of LiuGong,” says LiuGong North America President Marc Dowdell. “We can also now take the cross collateralization of product support resources and personnel, plus economies of scale in marketing, accounting, finance and logistics to operate a more effective team capable of meeting our customer demands,” he continued.

Within the DRESSTA equipment line, North America focuses on the DRESSTA Dozers that are designed and built for optimum performance. The line of dozers have various track options ranging from standard (STD), long (LT), wide (WT) and low ground pressure (LGP) which assure excellent machine balance for dozing, ripping and fine grading among other diverse machine functions. DRESSTA Dozers are used for road construction, land clearing and building environments.

The largest model offered in North America is also Dressta’s largest dozer the TD-40E Extra, which weighs almost 70 tons and delivers 515 HP. This model features excellent drawbar pull thanks to the conventional powertrain with exclusive 2-speed steering. The TD-40E Extra has a Cummins diesel engine that meets EPA Tier 3 emissions requirements.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the smallest DRESSTA dozer available is the TD-7R Crawler Dozer that weighs almost 8.5 tons with a 74 HP engine. The TD-7R is a part of the smaller crawler dozer “R” series, which replaces the standard TD-7. This machine, along with the rest of the “R” series dozers, have a unique powertrain that responds to a wide variety of applications in which the tractors are used for, including fine machine control, slow turns, quick pivoting turns, operating at full power pushing full loads, and finish grading.

According to the company, All DRESSTA Dozers offer superior steering control, traction and ideal balance, which allow the dozers to operate efficiently and effectively with large loads. Service and maintenance points are clearly marked and strategically placed for easy access. The machines come backed by LiuGong XtraCare Premier 3 year/4000 hour extended warranty, offering customers one of the best warranties in the industry.

“Now that we’re fully integrated, LiuGong North America is fully committed to the Canadian market for both dealers as well as end users,” says Alan Jeffrey, a Regional Sales Manager for LiuGong North America.
