According to a follow-up tweet from Musk, the unveiling will include an "opening event that night & free rides for the public the next day."

When complete, the loop system will use electric "skates" attached to either pods that will fit between 8 and 16 passengers, or cars, to move through a network of tunnels at speeds up to 150 mph.
