Empire Crane Company's Mike Andrews has delivered a new 2018 Demag AC 130-5 to Bob Hegarty's North Jersey Crane Services LLC in Landing, N.J. Hegarty's chose the Demag AC130-5 because the capacity and reach will allow it to expand its operating capacities, while updating its fleet. It has had a positive relationship with the Terex/Demag team in the past, and looks forward to working with them in the future.

The AC 130-5's first job was the first two weeks of August working at a 157 ft. radius, setting trusses on a new apartment building. Currently it is on a 205 ft. cell tower project. The new Demag AC 130-5 has a 140 ton (127 t) capacity, 196 ft. (59.7 m) four-sheave, fully telescopic main boom, 93,000 lbs. (42,184 kg) counterweight, and IC-1 Demag LMI system. Hegarty's also owns several Manitex boom trucks ranging from 15 to 38 tons (13.6 to 34.4 t), as well as a Demag AC 395.

Catherine Hegarty, owner of Hegarty's, commented on the long-standing relationship with the Lonergan brothers, owners of Empire Crane.

"It's not our first purchase, and it will not be our last. We love how personal their service is from their NJ location; you do not feel like just a number."
