Engine Distributors Inc., based in Albany, GA, acquired C K Power of Florida from its parent company, C K Power in St. Louis. With this acquisition, Engine Distributors Inc. and C K Power of Florida merged into a new company, Flint Power Systems.

Flint Power Systems is a full-service power systems dealer, providing sales, parts and service for engines, power units, generator sets and pumps. The company is a factory-authorized distributor of John Deere, Isuzu, Mitsubishi and Hatz.

Flint Power Systems is the exclusive John Deere Power Systems distributor in North and South Carolina, eastern Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. The company will represent Hatz and Mitsubishi engine products in Florida and Isuzu in Georgia and Florida.

Randy Weimer, who was general manager of C K Power in Florida, is now the executive vice president and general manager of Flint Power Systems. Weimer has more than 30 years experience in the power-systems business and has held sales, management and engineering positions at Emerson Electric, Leroy-Somer and DMT Corporation. He recently relocated to Flint Power Systems’ corporate office in Albany.

“The coming together of C K Power of Florida and Engine Distributors Inc. has created a very dynamic organization,” said Weimer. “With this combined experience as engine distributors, we are positioned to serve our customers better than ever before. I feel honored to be a part of this new beginning for Flint Power Systems.”

Other key management appointments include Patrick Loberger to operations manager and Victor Tisdale to engineering manager.

“By combining the resources of these two fine organizations, we are able to expand our capabilities and the services we provide our valued customers,” said company President Chris Cannon. “Our goal has always been to provide the very best in power system products and services at the lowest possible cost. We are confident the combined companies will allow us to achieve this goal today and in the future.”
