Fabick CAT announced Rob Paben, as its new product support representative for its Columbia and Jefferson City, Mo., stores, Tyson Wilkins for its Fenton, Mo., location and Shannon its Marion, Ill., location.
“We are very pleased to have someone with the qualifications and work ethic that Rob brings to this role and I fully expect that he will become one of our top performing PSSRs, ” said Tracey Scott, product support manager at Fabick CAT.
Paben began his career working at a competitor as a field technician for 14 years, and then worked for another competitor also as a technician for five years. Paben has been with Fabick CAT for two years now with more than 20 years experience with heavy equipment machinery.
“I enjoy working with construction equipment because I am fascinated with how things work I also enjoy being able to gain as much knowledge about the equipment I can,” Paben said.
Paben is responsible for following through with a customer after the sale of the equipment with all their parts and service needs. Paben can help a customer understand the operation of the equipment and maintenance on the equipment. If a problem was to occur with the equipment purchased, then Paben is the contact to get the problem resolved. Paben also can help with repairs on older equipment.
“I want my customers to have complete satisfaction when it comes to their needs after the purchase of the equipment,” Paben said.
Paben will cover 10 counties in the Columbia and Jefferson City area. Those counties include Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Moniteau, Miller, Cole, Osage, Gasconade, Pulaski, Maries and Phelps.
“Rob is naturally very technically astute. Rob’s background makes him uniquely qualified to bring great support and council to our customers operations. We look forward to Rob’s contribution to the growth of our product support revenues in JC and CO,” said Scott.
Tyson Wilkins
“Wilkins has a great technical background and really knows and understands the equipment,” said Joe Swayne, director of product support at Fabick CAT.
Wilkins completed his technician internship for school at Fabick CAT in 2001 and was later hired on as a full-time technician. After 11 years experience at Fabick CAT working in the shop Wilkins was promoted to provide product support for customers in the field.
“I enjoy the equipment and the construction side of working for Fabick CAT,” Wilkins said.
Wilkins is responsible for 10 counties in the area. Those counties include St. Louis County, Crawford, Reynolds, Dent, Iron, Washington, Ripley, Oregon, Carter and Shannon.

“I want to be a customer’s only phone call made when they need something in relation to parts and service,” Wilkins said.
“He has a great customer attitude and tries to get to know them and help them with their business; he is a great asset to the Fabick CAT team,” said Swayne.
Shannon Hunt
“Shannon came to Fabick CAT with the goal of becoming a Product Support Representative, were glad to finally see that happen,” said Andy Vigna, product support manager at Fabick CAT.
Hunt has been with Fabick CAT for six years, starting out in the parts warehouse and then as a Parts Counterman.
“I enjoy working with construction equipment because I am just fascinated with Caterpillar. I’ve always wanted to work in this field and a few years ago I finally got the opportunity,” said Hunt. “I want to establish a relationship with my customers so they can trust me and count on me to be there for them day in and day out. Developing a relationship is a big part of the job I just want them to be happy with what Fabick CAT is doing,” said Hunt.
Hunt will cover Saline, Pope, Hardin, Gallatin, Williamson, Jackson, and Perry counties in the Marion, Ill., area.
