Farm-Rite Equipment Company celebrated the grand opening of its newly expanded facility at 1515 Litchfield Ave. SW in Willmar, Minn., on April 5, 2024.

Completed in January by Marcus Construction, the 32,385-sq.-ft. expansion doubled the size of the existing building. The parts department doubled its storage space and is now able to stock parts for one-day on-site demand. Other parts can be ordered and delivered in 24 to 48 hours.

Features of the new facility include:

  • a 3,930 sq.-ft. showroom with eight offices, a conference room and restrooms around its perimeter;
  • a 2,935 sq.-ft. parts, storage and receiving area;
  • a 13,580 sq.-ft. heated and air conditioned service bay, featuring eight work stations, an overhead crane and a 5-ton top running single girder bridge crane with 20-ft. lift height;
  • a 2,080 sq.-ft. wash bay;
  • mezzanine storage (5,300 sq. ft.); and
  • men's and women's locker rooms.

"With the brand new and greatly expanded facility we will be able to provide increased service, many more parts and an extensive service facility as well as increased onsite product inventory for sales and rentals. The indoor showroom is great for new and exciting equipment to show to customers," said Dan Ronning, general manager, Farm-Rite.

More than 400 people attended to see the new facility and the latest equipment Farm-Rite has available to customers. Manufacturer representatives also were on hand to demonstrate the latest offerings and technology available.

Customers were treated to lunch and had the opportunity to win various door prizes. The grand prize winner of a set of Bobcat skid steer tires was Riggs Bros. Construction of Kandiyohi, Minn.
