The Fintec 1107 track-mounted primary jaw crusher system is tough enough for quarry duty, yet is fully transportable and designed to accept up to a 26-in. (66 cm) wide feed, making it ideal for recycle and contract crushing.
Based in Northern Ireland, Fintec Crushing and Screening Ltd. has worked in tandem with Sandvik to combine the Fintec expertise in track-mounted chassis designs with Sandvik’s quality crushing equipment, according to the company.
The mobile Fintec 1107 utilizes a Sandvik 44- by 28-in. (112 by 71 cm) single-toggle, hydraulic wedge-adjust jaw crusher with a symmetrical crushing chamber provided by an equal nominal and effective feed opening.
A deflector plate at the top of the moving jaw allows all of the effective feed opening to be active — crushing the material from the very top of the chamber — and eliminating the need for a stationary cross wall in the feed area, which can reduce true feed allowance. The result is a feed opening that accepts large feed, which is ideal for recycle conditions with large, slabby material that can often cause bridging and jaw plugging with a conventional opening.
An optimized nip angle ensures that material progresses smoothly down the crushing chamber for high reduction, productivity and even utilization of the jaw plates.
A heavy-duty frame is constructed with two side plates of rolled steel and hollow casting at the front frame end and moving jaw to provide high strength- and rigidity-to-weight ratios. The uniformly welded frame provides equal strength in all directions for durability against shock loads, and minimizes the risk of main-frame failure that can occur with bolted-on construction.
The Sandvik jaw also features a lubrication-free toggle plate and reversible jaw dies. Clamping bars that fix the jaw plate to the crusher are not only easy to install, but along with the support bars are easily replaceable, reducing total life cycle costs for the crusher. An optional overband magnet system removes steel contaminants. All of these features aid in improving production rates for contaminant-laden C&D material, according to the manufacturer.
The Fintec plants’ compact designs and transport-friendly weights allow them to be moved easily from site to site on a lowboy trailer. The track-mounted plants feature quick and easy setup and operation.
On-site mobility is achieved by simple controls, 20-in. (51 cm) tracks and a Cat Tier III compliant engine. The Fintec track chassis and Sandvik jaw crusher are tested virtually through software for stress, strain, shock, deformation, thermal loading, vibration and noise under a wide range of load conditions.
