Construction Equipment Guide

Gehl Company offers a paving package that includes a Gehl skid loader equipped with a cold planer attachment and a Gehl Power Box paver.

Gehl cold planers mount on Gehl skid loaders to provide a cost-effective way of removing the top surface of roadways, driveways and cutting butt joints prior to resurfacing. They’re designed for asphalt and concrete applications with a range of drum widths and drum types available. Cutting widths vary from 6.4 to 61 centimeters (2.5 to 24 in.).

Cutting depth and bevel angle are easily controlled without leaving the loader seat. Gehl’s electro-hydraulic system gives the operator finger-tip control. Cutting depth is adjustable to 10 centimeters (4 in.). And for precise beveling, the unit tilts up to 7.5 degrees in either direction for a total range of l5 degrees. Standard features also include hydraulic side shift for planing close to curbs or walls.

Gehl also offers a line of 3.6 and 5.4-metric-ton (4 and 6 ton) Power Box paver models. These units offer the performance and features of big pavers in a compact, easily maneuverable package. They make fast work of driveways, golf course cart paths, sidewalks, jogging trails and parking lots with paving widths from 1.2 to 4 meters (4 to 12 ft.) and paving depths adjustable to 15 centimeter (6 in.).

Power Box pavers feature free-floating screeds with a choice of economical exhaust or propane heat. Units are available with gas or diesel engines.
