Construction Equipment Guide

General Equipment Company’s 130C CUT-R-TACH is a cost-effective solution for many asphalt cutting projects, such as road patching, scoring and edging, and various tasks for pipeline, street, water and sewer applications, according to the manufacturer.

The 130C clamps to most backhoe dippersticks or tractor/wheel loader buckets with up to 2.5 cu. yd. (1.9 cu m) capacities. No special tools, modifications or adapters are required. The twin-screw pivot clamp conforms to differences in bucket shapes and sizes and can be used in forward and reverse cutting.

A 13.5 in. (34 cm)-diameter cutting blade is machined from a special service, heat-treated alloy steel and yields a maximum asphalt cutting depth of 5 in. (12.7 cm). The 130C is capable of producing high cutting rates with lighter machinery.

Cutting blades are field replaceable without having to disturb bearings or seals.

In business for more than 50 years, General Equipment Co. is a family-owned manufacturer of earth augers, ventilation blowers, asphalt cutters and surface preparation equipment.
