Grove conducted the first of its new training courses in Spanish in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Sept. 24-27, 2001. The sales training class was attended by 14 distributor sales people from Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador and Chile.

Kyle Nape, Grove director of Latin American sales, hosted the event. Ruben Olivas, training instructor for Latin America, conducted many of the sessions and also translated portions of the classes which were presented by Sam Meroney, sales and parts training coordinator.

Classroom sessions included a review of terms and technology and introduction to load charts. The entire Grove product line was reviewed — all-terrain, rough-terrain, truck and industrial cranes as well as aerial work platforms.

“Grove is committed to the Latin American market and has had outstanding success across the product line. Most recently, we have delivered a number of our all-terrain cranes to the area and they are rapidly gaining in popularity. Our training courses will provide distributors and customers with an additional level of support,” said Nape.
