H&R Parts of Buffalo, N.Y., has expanded its operations with the purchase of Crawler Equipment Sales in Lawrenceville, Ga. H&R Parts will now be able to serve all of North America with used and aftermarket construction equipment parts.

Lawrenceville (a suburb of Atlanta) will focus on the dismantling of machines from the southeastern region of the United States and will serve as a major shipping point, which will significantly shorten the shipping time and cost of parts being shipped to customers in the southeast.

The Lawrenceville, Ga., facility will be the fifth facility for H&R Parts, which includes its Buffalo, N.Y., headquarters; the Riverside, Calif., operations; Edmonton, Alberta, Canada facility; and Kansas City, Mo., facility.

Each facility performs a specific role in H&R’s long term plans. Riverside, Calif., serves as the company’s final drive center and the distribution point for aftermarket parts. Edmonton, Alberta, serves the Canadian market. Kansas City, Mo., has been instrumental in the development of overseas markets such as Europe, Africa, Russia and Australia.

“We had been looking for some time to expand into the southeast with a facility,” said Larry Mohr, president of H&R Parts. “Crawler Equipment Sales perfectly fits our needs. The company has great employees such as Ron Ratliff, who has a long history in the parts and parts distribution business. The facility property is particularly attractive. It offers spacious office space, a large shop with an environmentally compliant cleaning facility, eight acres of fenced in yard, and good highway access right off of Route 316.

“Crawler Equipment Sales has a long standing credible reputation with contractors in the southeast. A location near Atlanta gives us the ability to offer one-day shipping to most of the southeastern area.”
