Construction Equipment Guide

The Harley D4 power box rake by Paladin Attachments teams with compact tool carriers to deliver leveling, aeration and preparation of soil for seeding. Harley has designed the D4 power box rake to be 22 percent lighter than previous models to provide better balance and optimum maneuverability without compromising strength. It features a new hex drive system and direct drive motor that has been completely embedded into the rotating drum, protecting it fully from ground debris and allowing for improved performance and reliability with fewer components and less maintenance, according to the manufacturer.

The adjustable Rhino-Hide barrier, located above the roller, gives the operator the ability to adapt to soil moisture conditions and choose the size of material to leave in the seedbed. Its dual, independently self-adjusting gauge wheels contour to the ground and provide added flexibility for an even cut on drainage grades and small slopes. The new quick storage flip-up guide wheel arms make storage simple while removable endplates on one or both sides of the rake enable easy windrowing and reverse box raking. Both are adjusted with a pull of a pin.

Available in a manual angle and hydraulic angle model with a roller width of 4 ft. (1.2 m), the Harley D4 power box rake's proprietary specially shaped carbide tooth design and pattern ensures the best possible seedbed sub-base fracture to release and retain proper soil moisture. A robust frame with a high quality powder coat finish ensures optimal operational life, according to the manufacturer.
