H.O. Penn Invites Contractors to Open House in Newington

Equipped with a back blade and hydraulic thumb, the list of projects this machine can tackle is long. Shawn McCoy of Brigade Electronics demonstrated the latest safety solutions from Brigade, including 360 degree camera monitoring and backup systems. Dan Slate of H.O. Penn shows a few of the hundreds of maintenance products available from Caterpillar and H.O. Penn. David Douglas of the H.O. Penn parts department reminded visitors that every machine has two things in common … batteries and operator seats, and H.O. Penn has plenty of both. Attendees register and receive a grab bag of gifts and a chance to win one of several door prizes. H.O. Penn’s team of fluid analysis technicians can identify problems that may develop in your machine long before they manifest themselves and save you costly repair bills. Eric Bjornson (L) of Metso and Scott Gilligan, H.O. Penn Metso product specialist, are the guys to call for any crushing and screening needs. Jeff Dobosz of Sitech demonstrates the latest guidance control systems currently available on the Cat 323F excavator to representatives of O & G Industries. The new Cat 323F is equipped with Cat Grade Control Depth and Slope, which delivers 2D bucket tip elevation guidance to the cab to create precise slopes with ease.  Integrated joystick buttons help operators make quick adjustments to maintain consistent grades.

During the event, attendees had an opportunity to see close up and obtain hands-on experience with the latest product offerings from Caterpillar and H.O. Penn. Live demonstrations of Caterpillar skid steers, track loaders, excavators, and dozers, all of which were equipped with the latest technological advances in machine control guidance systems, created a great opportunity for visitors to play in the dirt.

This year's event also featured a product support showcase tent that provided visitors an opportunity to learn about the latest product support offerings from H.O. Penn, including:

• PartStore (online parts ordering);

• EMSolutions (equipment management solutions);

• Cat S O S Fluid Analysis labs;

• Brigade rear view cameras and alarms;

• Cat Certified Rebuild options;

• Cat Inspect (machine inspection tools);

• Cat kits and parts showcase;

• Cat machine simulators; and

• Line boring capabilities.

Other features of the open house included a red tag sale with some special machine pricing, an extensive display of Caterpillar generators, and a display of Metso crushing and screening products.

During the event, H.O. Penn also awarded door prizes and provided food and drinks.
