Hopkins, Robinson Honored at DCA’s Annual Meeting

At the Delaware Contractors Association’s (DCA) annual meeting on Oct. 24, 2007, Richard P. DiSabatino Jr. presented the Ninth Annual Richard P. DiSabatino Sr. Award to Robert P. Hopkins of Joseph T. Hardy & Son. The Richard P. DiSabatino Sr. Award is presented to an individual who has worked most diligently on behalf of the association during the past year.

Hopkins was recognized for his tremendous efforts and dedication to the renovation of the DCA Building, for creation of a “member emeritus” category to keep retirees involved with the association, and his continuing efforts to serve the association by his attendance at executive committee and board meetings and dedication to membership development and growth.

The DCA also is presented the Ninth Annual Lifetime Achievement Award to William B. Robinson Jr., formerly of George & Lynch Inc. The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual whose commitment and dedication to the association have been recognized for a substantial period of time.

Robinson, a former two-term president of DCA, has been a faithful attendee at many of the association’s events and has long been active in the industry and business community.
